How were the youth leaders profiled in Our Time Is Now identified?
Roughly a third of those young people profiled in the book are recipients of YouthActionNet awards. The remaining profilees were nominated by IYF partner organizations around the world, and by national and international organizations that promote youth leadership development and/or actively engage young people in their work (e.g., Family Health International, Mobility International, United Nations Environment Programme, and the World Bank, among others). Final selections were based on a variety of criteria, including geography, gender, and age diversity, as well as the issues being addressed and strategies employed.
