How were the Transpoetry poems chosen?

0

A call for poems was publicized in August 2005. An overwhelming 600 poems were submitted for consideration. The poems were selected through a “blind jury process”. Only after the poems had been agreed upon and chosen, were the names of the poets revealed to the jurors. Jurors for the English language selection committee are: Kel Morin-Parsons, Managing Editor of Arc, Canada’s Poetry Magazine; John Buschek of BuschekBooks, a Canadian book publisher based in Ottawa; Nadine McInnis, a senior Ottawa poet.
