The Department reviewed available literature to define at what concentration(s) residual product/free product occur in soil. The results of this effort are found in Appendix 2 of the “Protocol for addressing extractable petroleum hydrocarbons” (http://nj.gov/dep/srp/guidance/srra/eph_protocol.pdf).
