How were the needs of the district determined?
The facilities plan was developed over a two-year period, beginning with an outside appraisal of our buildings. Next, a 34-member Community Task Force was appointed to bring recommendations to the DISD Board of Trustees. Community meetings were then held to encourage additional input from all patrons. A Board committee working with an architectural firm finalized the plan.
