How were the events in Hawaii, The Rockstar Games Honolua Bay Pro and the Rockstar Games Pipeline Pro?
You made the quarter finals at Honolua Bay and the quarters at Pipe. Did you do any special preparation going into these events! Was there any personal motivation for you to do so well! Well we arrived in Hawaii around two weeks before the first event in order to try and get used to surfing the waves over there because they’re a lot more powerful then the waves we get at home at that time of the year. That was really my only preparation; not drinking and eating healthy also helped. My main motivation is to please my sponsors, they pay me to support them, so pleasing them motivates me to surf better, that and thinking about my family and trying to win comps for them. Did you think that you would go well at pipe after your performance at Honolua Bay- Did you have enough water time out there to feel confident prior to the event! I definitely had enough water time out Pipe but not really enough waves, you can sit in the water all day and only catch like 5 waves and maybe only one decent on
