Currently, the study area is bounded by major watersheds, framed by the urban areas of Seattle and Ellensburg, and woven together by the interstate highway and an extensive network of trails that link the public to the Greenway landscape. However, one of the goals of the Heritage Study is to determine official geographic boundaries of the Greenway itself.
