Manufacturers meeting ISO13485:2003, the ISO standard for manufacturer of medical devices, were invited by WHO to submit expressions of interest in 2007 for up to three brand products per manufacturer. A total of 41 tests were thus incorporated into the test evaluation process conducted in 2008 (March-November).
