Then the economy tanked. Entering the weekend, however, the Bolder Boulder’s registration numbers were down only two percent. Bosley expects between 52,500 and 53,500 people to sign up before the 31st edition on Monday. “Last year we were excited that we set another record and we were expecting somewhere in that 54,000 range,” Bosley said. “Last December, when we were kind of putting things together, we knew that the history is that the numbers do go down the years that follow anniversary years.
