How were Earths oceans formed?
The second states that an ateriod laden with ice crashed into Earth giving it its oceans. The resulting dust and debris that ricocheted into space after the impact was drawn back into earth’sgravitaional field and condensed into the moon. This makes much more sense because when when you compare Mars to Earth we have oceans and a different type of moon even though we’re closely sized planets.
