How were british snipers organised and deployed during world war two?
British Snipers were some of the most notorious in the world during the war, as were our commando brigades. From my days of Military History, British Snipers would often crosee the channel with a Commando brigade and set off by themselves. They would support and cover units from either surrounding hills, with a guard or two to keep watch over him, or join their units in fighting for direct-fire support.
