How well does the GBM tumor respond to Temodar along with radiation?
• Is there any data showing how long one should or could stay on Temador (450 mg). I have a mixed oligo grade III, am just finishing up treatment #12, and am feeling fine. Blood counts have been great through the whole treatment. • We are confused. Three months ago our mom was diagnosed with metastases in the brain (25 tumors in the frontal lobe), a spinal metastasis around L5, and a spot in the chest wall. The spot in the chest was biopsied and found to be metastasized breast cancer, which she had 3 years ago. The original breast tumor was 6 cm in diameter, stage IIIB but it responded rapidly to chemotherapy and was shrunk to where it could no longer even be seen before the mastectomy was done. Radiation followed mastectomy. Now that the cancer has returned, WBRT was done and the spinal tumor was also given radiation. Dexamethasone was prescribed briefly. She was seen at a major metro area very large hospital for these procedures, then sent home to be followed by a local oncologist. T
