During the Vietnam War, we hadn’t started with all this outsourcing bull, so I imagine that our economy didn’t suffer as much as it is now. We made our own weapons and such to send to our own troops. We made our own uniforms and body armor. We even packaged our own food. I don’t know the exact statistics, but before outsourcing, war was actually kind of good for the economy. It generated jobs, as people worked in factories to outfit the troops. Sadly, it also killed a lot of troops. Just look at the stats for the big three car companies during that time period. We weren’t hurting then like we are now. Ah, the good old days when we fought communism and didn’t send our jobs to China…
