How was the us effected by the korean war?

Korea was not even a war, it was classed a police action. Most people do not realize it but we had more MIA there than we did in Vietnam. It was a rough country to fight in, high mts, hot in summer and bitter cold in the winter. Rules of engagement were such that once an enemy plane crossed the line into China we could not follow and shoot at them.Again a lot of the “war” was decided by the people in Washington who like so many times thought they knew more than the high ranking officers in the military.
