How was the scoring system for the static factors determined?
Using a representative sample of cases, we used statistical analysis to determine which factors from Asset were most closely associated with reconviction. Weighting was determined by the strength of the association between a factor and whether a young person was reconvicted (within 12 months from the date of assessment).
