How was the relationship between population and land ownership one of the causes of the french revolution?
Land ownership was concentrated among the wealthy and titled. The Fourth Estate (the non-titled, non-wealthy, regular people) made up the largest part of the population and had access to the least part of the land. When the Fourth Estate was asked to pay a great deal more in taxes, they became dissatisfied, and the land issue became intolerable as well.
