How was the QEP topic chosen?
The combined influence of a growth in honors-eligible enrollment, an in-house faculty recommendation regarding the existing honors program, a recent review of the core curriculum, and data generated through surveys of faculty and students has made Union University aware of the crucial importance of designing and implementing a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) which will markedly improve the learning environment inhabited by academically talented students. Accordingly, the critical issue addressed in Unions QEP is the transformation of the existing honors program into a thriving Honors Community.
