How was the proposed alignment between Ft. Hamer Road and UMRR selected?
• The proposed alignments connecting Fort Hamer Road and Upper Manatee River Road were developed based on 3 criteria: • • Maximizing the Manatee County owned right-of-way on the south side of the river, immediately east of Waterlefe, • • Providing as close to a 90º crossing of the navigable waterway as possible, and • • Avoiding to the extent possible the Fort Hamer County Park and Boat Ramp.
