How was the name of the firm derived?
The firm takes its name from a battle that took place during the Hundred Years War between England and France over the succession for the crown of France. In this battle, a fleeing English under Henry V was able to defeat the French army through use of the longbow despite being vastly outnumbered. Similarly, the use of new technology in industry can also serve to surprise and lead to opportunities that are not always readily visible. Looking as far ahead as possible to discern and anticipate these changes is at the core of our philosophy and dictates the kind of opportunities we seek to invest in.
