How Was The Land Effected By The Treaty That Ended The War Of 1812?
The treaty of Ghent ended the war of 1812. It was signed on December 24, 1814, by diplomats from the U.S and U.K. It is called treaty of Ghent because the meeting took place in Ghent. No territory was lost nor gained by either side, and the Treaty of Ghent established the status quo antebellum, as there were no territorial changes made by either side.
