How was the James Burton International Guitar Festival?

RB: The James Burton Guitar Festival was a blast! Greg Koch and I performed a couple of our original tunes and then backed up Sonny Landreth, Jerry Donahue and Seymour Duncan. Burton joined us, with Sonny Landreth, to perform Sonny’s tune “Hell at Home.” The lineup at the festival was great—I particularly enjoyed Steve Wariner and the finale of the show, Brad Paisley’s set. Brad invited Eric Johnson up to trade a few licks and the result was some fiery guitar playing. Brad, somewhat a newcomer but already a star country performer, very much held his own with Eric—no small feat! I was very impressed. FN: We were just going to ask about the status of Walk On … RB: It’s finished at long last, and boy, does it feel good to say that!
