How was the facility designed?
The facility is a renovated building planned by Bright Horizons and architects who specialize in childcare center design. The contemporary design is child-friendly with an inviting, home-like environment. Skylights and windows provide natural light and good visibility to encourage social interaction between groups. The layout provides easy access to the classrooms that are arranged around a central core. A full-service kitchen in which nutritious meals are prepared is located in the core. Faculty have access to a large library of resource materials and equipment to support curriculum development. There are 12 classrooms and a large school-age suite of rooms each planned to accommodate the age group in the room: • Infant and toddler rooms are quiet and cozy and include soft areas to cuddle and interesting areas to explore.
