How was the Earth Created?

Well, there are two theories that people believe. One being that, God created everything in 7 days, which is why we have our 7 days equals one week. Many people believe this theory because of their religion. The second theory is that 10 to 20 billion years ago the “Big Bang” happened. It is said that the big theory happened from the cataclysmic explosion of a small volume of matter at a extremely high density and temperature. This is what the science books teaches us, on part that public schools aren’t allowed to teach about religion.

Arite here it is in a nutshell First there was a cloud of inter-stellar gas and dust. it was made up of tiny elements which we know of today. anways gravity acted on this rotating Solar Nebula(star) make it smaller and flater as it spun and spun. The centrifugla forces pushed it outwards. The gas and the dust were attracted to each other through the electromagnetic forces. alot of collisions between these planetismals took place, forming planets, like the earth. it seems to be plain luck that we ended up with just the right atmosphere and everything else to support life.

Our planet, the Earth, is part of a much larger community. This family of planets, moons, asteroids, comets, and one star probably began the same way many other planetary systems are forming which we can observe through telescopes. About 5 billion years ago our Solar System did not exist at all. Instead there was in its place a large cloud of gas and dust called a nebula. Over many millions of years the immense gravity of this large cloud caused the dust and gas to slowly fall inward towards its center. As matter in the cloud fell towards the center it began to spin. This spinning is caused by the basic laws of motion. Objects in space do not speed up, or slow down unless their speed is changed by something else. Also all objects move in the same direction until their path is changed by something else. As the dust and gas fell into the center of the cloud each particle resisted slowing down, or changing directions. However the gravity of the growing matter in the center tried to pull t

I have an open discussion evening at our Church (Grace Fellowship of La Grange) coming up. Invariably at these evenings, I am asked the question of : “How was the earth made?”. I am by no means a scientist nor do I fully understand the various scientific theories put forward. My answer is always straight out of the Bible, and as I mentioned in an earlier article (Crazy Christians) I subscribe to the literal translation of the Word of God. Hebrews 11:3 starts with the words that are bound to make any scientist cringe :”By Faith…” There is no scientific method that I am aware of that can test the concept of “faith” and therefore we cannot quantify “faith”. In today’s society if we cannot quantiy something then we tend to view it as fantasy. Strangely enough we also viewed the writings of Jules Verne as fantasy until the submarine was created, and fantasy became reality. It is my opinion that when science catches up to the Bible, that what we now understand in faith, will be explained t
