How was the data analyzed?
• The SHM Practice Analysis Committee developed an “analytical plan”, which dictated a series of tables with survey results. A survey vendor designed and generated the data tables according to these specifications. • When available, comparisons were made to the 2005-2006 SHM Survey. • When appropriate, the data tables included the following metrics: mean, 25th percentile, 50th percentile (median), 75th percentile, and 90th percentile. • Please see the detailed monograph for Caveats that should be considered when interpreting the survey results.
