Im going to tell some possibilitys of how people think they covered the Colosseum: The rope construction: People placed 240 beams round at the upper floor of the Colosseum. They used 6-km ropes (very big and strong ones of course). They made the ropes fast on the beams in 2 lines. The upper line was hold up by the lower line. And then almost everything was covered by the VELUM except the part of the Colosseum where gladiators, animals etc. fought. Minus points: – The wind could come under the VELUM very easily and then it would wave very hard. – The rings were absolutely not strong. – It took 4 days to put it all on and 4 days to put it all of.
