How was the CAESER questionnaire developed?
CAESER has been developed with a number of prestigious ‘thought leaders’ in responsible business and as such represents best practice across a number of different business areas. AA1000 was created by AccountAbility (formerly the Institute of Social and Ethical Accountability), and is the authoritative standard for auditing (CSR) across the private sector. CAESER is the only officially licensed user of AccountAbility’s AA1000 AP (2008) standard in a web-based application for assessing CSR and sustainable development. This internationally recognised standard emphasises the principles of stakeholder engagement: inclusivity; materiality; completeness and responsiveness. CAESER has also been developed in partnership with The Centre for Business Organisations and Society (CBOS) at the University of Bath. Their status as one of the leading academic institutions on CSR research places CAESER at the forefront of contemporary CSR.
