How was The Book launched in Sweden? And was it a success?
The Book received wide acclaim throughout the country, resulting with many people requesting translated versions, i.e. English, Spanish, French and German, which are in the future plans. The sales began within salons, boutique stores, fashion retailers, trendy hotels, design stores and art galleries, and was also sold in major book retailers. It continues to be a huge success, resulting in a 50 percent increase of Bible sales in 2007 without cannibalizing normal bible sales. The group also held an outdoor exhibition in the middle of Stockholm and mounted 104 pictures and quotes on 52 displays for 6 weeks during Christmas 2007. The idea of the Expo was to draw the public in to some of the powerful images and spark interest in The Book. The Expo was at Raul Wallenberg’s Square located in the center of Stockholm.
