How was queen elizabeth important in the renassance?
Queen Elizabeth the first lived after the Renaissance, during the Reformation. It would be difficult to contribute to something that had already ended. She did encourage science and philosophy (Sir Francis Bacon) and the Arts (Shakespeare,) She did not per se encourage these things, because she was notoriously tight with the privy purse, but she created a social environment where learned men and artists of all kinds could flourish.
