How was John F. Kennedy a good leader?
Besides being an inspiring leader, he prevented a nuclear catastrophe over the incorrect advice from his top advisers. JFK was the catalyst in promoting the space race which insured America’s long journey to the moon and beyond. He was determined to pass civil rights legislation that would allow minorities equality, but he was assassinated prior to its enactment. In his 3 brief years in power, he brought intellect and wise judgment to the Presidency.

It’s important for a leader to see the reality that he’s the wrong man for the job. Kennedy saw that clearly by the time Khrushchev was done with him. Kennedy also gave away our nukes in Turkey to avoid us getting nuked from Cuba. It’s important to admit you lost. Kennedy did that by surrendering those missiles in Turkey.
