how was Jesus before his older relative, John the Baptist?
While John the Baptist was born a few months before Jesus, Jesus existed in Heaven from the beginning. Jesus was also before John the Baptist in honor, since Jesus is God the Son. Q: In Jn 1:17, did Moses give the Law, or did God give it? A: Both. God gave the Law to Moses to give to the people, and that is what Moses did. God is the witers, and Moses was the “postman” delivering the letter. Q: In Jn 1:18, since no man has seen God, how could Jesus be God, since people saw Jesus? A: When Jesus came to earth, as Philippians 2:7 says, Jesus emptied Himself of much of His glory. Jesus prayed that the Father would return the glory to Him in John 17:5.
