How was it meeting Liza Minelli, who is famed for the Sally role in the film?
“Oh I got to meet her on I’d Do Anything and it was out of this world! “It was incredible to meet her and then be doing Cabaret a few months later. I never ever thought this would happen – it’s unbelievable. “I’ve seen the West End version and the film but I’ve tried not to watch it too much as I want my Sally to be different. “I don’t want to model it on someone else. I’ve had to cut off all my hair as you can see so I’ve got to get used to that.” • Do you feel like everything’s happened too quickly since the whirlwind experience of I’d Do Anything? “No, I’m just excited about it all, I think, getting into the industry. “It was quite scary, but I felt like I was ready to leave home at 16 and find my own way. “I loved doing the programme and it’s really opened up doors for me.” • Would you say appearing on I’d Do Anything has changed your life? “Oh, it has completely changed my life for the better. A year ago I was just a student – now I’m living my dream and appearing as Sally Bowles
