How was / is the 1 percent transaction fee used?
The fee paid for the acquisition, development and implementation of the MFMP system, which included the services required to effectively implement an initiative of this size and developed and executed training required for both buyers and vendors. Today the fee pays for all the Division of State Purchasing and the Office of Supplier Diversity costs; the operations of the MFMP program; ongoing maintenance and services needed to sustain the program’s success; and the state’s business partner, Accenture, with the MFMP program.
