Freight movement data was collected from Surface Transportation Board waybill sample data. Was double-tracking evaluated along the Interstate 81 corridor in Virginia? Yes, to some extent. What percent of trucks would be removed from the Interstate after the improvements to the railroad? That is very difficult figure to extrapolate. More study may be needed to determine the amount removed.
