How was AYP determined for my school given that we received an improvement rating of “Small School Analysis?”
A school whose Cycle II proficiency index exceeded the state performance target was determined to have made AYP. The Cycle II state performance target for English Language Arts is a proficiency index of 70.7. For mathematics, the state performance target is 53.0. If a school that received a rating of “Small School Analysis” was below the state performance target, the school was determined to have made AYP if: 1) its proficiency index did not decline from the Cycle I/Baseline years to the Cycle II years; and 2) the Cycle II proficiency index was within or above the 95% confidence interval of its improvement target.
