* Radiata is appreciated for its wide range of applications. While obviously suitable for lower grade applications including construction, panelling, pulp/paper products, pulpwood, fibre board, MDF, and plywood veneers, it is also being utilised as a higher grade timber for furniture, veneers, and mouldings. * The expanding range of uses of Radiata also stems from new technological processes. For instance, a process developed by Forest Research is used to harden Radiata, making it suitable for flooring and furniture. Also, new lamination and finger-jointing technologies are expanding the uses of Radiata, ranging from small mouldings to vast engineered beams.
