How unsafe is it to be a border patrol agent?

Right now as we speak, people looking to pass the Border have stepped up tactics by installing wires from one side to the other that are invisible to Border Patrol agents in the dark and could easily incapitate them. Now “War wagons” have been introduced and BP has contracts with government to purchase new hummers.
