A 64-year old man walking a dog along Lakeshore Road in Cicero was trapped for an hour after a garbage truck backed up over him, Onondaga County Sheriff’s deputies said. James Piazza, of Maple Drive, Cicero, was taken by ambulance to University Hospital after he was freed. Piazza’s legs were trapped between the two wheels of the Feher Rubbish Removal truck’s rear dual axles, Sgt. John D’Eredita, speaking for the sheriff’s office, said. South Bay firefighters inflated airbags to raise the truck to free him, he said. The truck was operated by Paul J. Bialobreski, 30, of Syracuse. “The driver apparently didn’t see the pedestrian and the pedestrian didn’t hear the back-up alarm,” D’Eredita said. The incident happened in front of 6570 Lakeshore Road. Lenny Witteman, who lives in the house, said woke up to the sound of sirens. “I looked and I saw someone between the tires,” he said. Rescue workers had covered the man in blankets and were giving him an IV, Witteman said. Piazza and his dog we
