How ugly is the c-section scar?
Mine isn’t ugly. It’s this faint purple line but it’s sort of in the hairline so it isn’t that visible. I feel a kind of affection for it because it’s where my wonderful girl joined us from. (Sounds really daft, I know, but I’m sooo in love with my little girl.) I had an elective C-section. Well, it was an emergency C and I knew I was having it at 20 weeks. But it really wasn’t my choice – I’ve had a vaginal lymphoma and radiation to my vagina and they believed that if I tried to give birth naturally I’d shatter rather than stretch. No option! Having had one, I wouldn’t opt to have another. If I should fall pregnant again (Heaven forbid) I would have to though. After a C you’re in a fair bit of pain and doing anything is awkward for a couple of weeks after. I had a very quick recovery, but my sister-in-law was in agony for a month afterwards (At least, she says so LOL!) and you hear of women who have a long hard recovery. If I were you I’d do labour, but it’s your choice.
