How true is it to say that our sense perception is a reliable source of inquiring knowledge?

I presume you meant “acquiring” vice “inquiring”. Acquiring means gathering information. Inquiring means to ask for information. At any rate, our senses are our ONLY source of gathering information about the physical world around us. How accurate that informantion may be is subject to our own understanding of the limitations of each of the five senses. For example, we all know about optical illusions and how they may give the appearance of one thing while actually being something totally different. Understanding how our optical sense works gives us the ability to see past illusions. Once we understand these limitations, then we can use our minds to question what we perceive and test the information gathered by our senses for reliability and accuracy. And to use that ability to perceive things we cannot sense by our unaided smell, touch, sight, hearing, or taste. So our senses ARE reliable…as long as we understand their limitations and work to overcome those as needed.
