How traveling with speed of light slows down time?
If you look at the theory of special relativity it states: The combined speed of any object’s motion through space and its motion through time is always precisely equal to the speed of light. This means that when an object is at rest (i.e. is not moving through space) ALL its motion is through time, and so we can say the object is moving through time at the speed of light. If that object begins to move, some of its motion through time MUST be diverted to its motion through space because special relativity tells us the object’s motions through space and time can only equal that of the speed of light; it cannot be any less or any more. What this means is that the faster an object is travelling through space the slower it travels through time, because some of its motion through time MUST have been diverted to its motion through space.
