Mercury sulfide is relatively stable and considered to be less toxic than many forms. Methyl mercury is the most common from of mercury found in tuna fish and is considered to be one of the most toxic forms. Dimethyl mercury is less common, but, as it is more volatile, it is more dangerous than methyl mercury.
