To write sheet music you need to have a good knowledge of music theory. You need to know how to draw the notes, key signatures, and understand how to note the tempo, speed, create chords and harmony within the musical piece your are composing then put it all on special paper which contains a series of 5 lines that you will need to separate into bars or measures. Musical experience such as playing an instrument like the piano is an important skill to have while learning to writing sheet music.
