How to write resignation letter after maternity leave?
I did this very thing. At the end of my maternity leave I decided to stay home with my son. I simply wrote them a professional resignation letter advising that I would not be returning to my position with the company. They don’t require a reason, so maybe I got off easy. If they require a reason, perhaps you could cite ‘personal reasons’ or ‘family reasons’… you could even just say that you have decided to discontinue working at this time. It really depends on the company you’re resigning from, your reputation with them, and the people taking care of the situation.
