How to write alt key symbols with keyboard?
If you’re using laptop – please, read about laptop alt symbols. • Find the code. Find the numeric code that stands for the symbol you want to write. You can see all possible codes listed in the section below. • Enable Num Lock. On usual keyboards Num Lock is a button located on the right side (on Num Pad). When you’ll enable it, the green Num Lock indicator will shine on. • Press Alt button. • Type that code on Num Pad. Hold Alt key pressed and (while holding) enter the numeric code for the symbol that you want to input. The code needs to be entered on the Numeric Pad – right key pad on usual keyboards. • Release Alt key. If you did everything right then the symbol should have been inserted after you’ve released the Alt key. If it didn’t work when you typed the code while holding right Alt key – try holding the left one. If something’s still wrong – re-read the guide or take a look at my full article on how to do symbols by Alt codes.
