Then let them know a good way to avoid incidences like this they could visit the school prior to the start day like then they have orientation, take advantage of familiarizing themselves with the surroundings. Be honest in your guide, if it is for college students let them know how to survive the first semester by taking it slow and not bog themselves down with taking a bunch of classes till they get a routine down.
