How To Word A Cancelled Wedding Invite Due To A Broken Engagement?
The wedding of Joe Douglas and Jane Brown has been cancelled. We sincerely hope this has not caused an inconvenience to our family and friends…then sign the name of the party that is sending out the announcements. It is not necessary to go into details of why the wedding has been cancelled (if they are close family or friends they probably know already). Now, is not the time to be mean or vindictive. This announcement is simply to advise everyone not to show up at the appointed date. I know this is a most difficult time and is somewhat embarrassing but consider that it is better that it happened now (whatever “it” is) and not after there were numerous children involved.
