How to wean baby rabbits?
How old do you think the rabbit is? Has it crawled out of the nest by mistake or is it lively and bright eyed? Weaning is easy if the second case. Wild rabbits are ususually weaned by their 4th week to increase the survival of the young. Introduce natural grasses to it and wild flowers, also pelleted food. It should be fed these with water in a bottle for up to 6 weeks of age. It should then be release near to where you found it. Wild rabbits do not make good pets and can be much more aggressive than a domestic rabbit.The stress of being caged can kill them. Domestic rabbits have been tamed over hundreds of years to make the perfect pet, so you will not be doing yourself or the rabbit any favours by keeping it in a cage for the rest of its life.
