Backed up videos from DVR 2400 system can not be directly played on a Windows Vista machine due to the lack of certain video codec. User will need to convert the videos into a different format in order to view them on a Vista machine. To do this, follow these steps: 1. Download the file “HME to EXE.zip” from CCSG Corp’s support page. 2. Unzip the file on the Vista machine. Run “ShellHMFToEXE.exe”, follow the on screen instructions to finish the installation. 3. Plug or insert the storage device with backed up videos from DVR 2400 system in to the Vista machine then navigate to the storage folder of the backed up videos. 4. All video files will have .hme extension. Right click on a video file then select “Resave to EXE”, select a location to save the converted files. The new file will have .EXE extension and can now be directly play on Windows Vista system. Repeat this step for all video files. 5. Double click on any converted video file to play it.
