How to use Tea Tree Oil to Treat Yeast Infections?
Tea tree oil is only safe to use externally as it is toxic if taken internally. Before using tea tree oil place a small drop on the skin to check for any possible allergic reaction to the oil. For an all over body treatment for Candida Yeast skin infections, place 10 drops of pure tea tree oil in a warm bath. Soak in the bath for at least twenty minutes. Tea tree oil can be used to treat vaginal yeast infections by creating a douche or a suppository with the oil. For a douche place 1 teaspoon of tea tree oil in 2 cups of water. Squirt this mixture into the vagina. For the suppository make a solution of 1/3 parts tea tree oil and 2/3 parts vitamin E oil. Soak a tampon in the solution and place it in the vagina for twenty minutes. Repeat either method everyday for 6 days.
