To enjoy ESDlife public services with e-cert stored in Smart ID card, you need to buy and install a smart card reader and download other free softwares. If you do not want to buy the reader which cost around HK$100, we recommend you to apply for a floppy disk version of your e-Cert at only HK$10 when you store your e-Cert in Smart ID card, to facilitate usage of ESDlife public service.
