How to use a fondue kit?
Hi, You need to purchase some fondue fuel, it’s normally sold in a blue or white and blue bottle and it specifically says for “fondue” or “chafing dishes”. See the reference link below for a picture of a container of such fuel. It’s normally sold around the “BBQ” section of your grocery store. You simply pour the blueish liquid into the burner (yes, over the padding and wire mesh) until you can see the fluid. Always fill it away from the pot and you can easily spill and you don’t want anything on your table or table cloth when you lit it up. Then, wipe anything you may have spilled and bring it under your pot. Make sure the “air holes” are open (sometimes you have to put an additional part onto it) and carefully light the fuel. Always keep the rest of the fuel away from the lit fire. The stainless steel pot that you have is for meat fondue (either oil based or broth based). Do not have chocolate fondue in it.
